Man dead after overnight shooting in north Phoenix
PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — A man is dead after an overnight shooting at a north Phoenix apartment complex.
Police say the shooting happened around 11 p.m. on Sunday in a neighborhood near Bell Road and 32nd Street. Officers arrived and found 26-year-old Victor Meraz Montes, who had been shot multiple times. Montes was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and say there are no suspects in custody. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness if they wish to be anonymous.
